First Blog Post Bible and Hobbies

 Finally, getting the courage to start a blog this evening. Hoping, that I will be able to make posts and share content with readers that will both encourage and inspire.

First, make studying the Bible your most important hobby. Without it, we are empty and that is simply not a good place to be. And, mark that Bible up! Take notes. Use a highlighter. Underline verses. Remember this is God's Holy Word for you and for me. The Bible is yours to keep and to read over and over again.

Second, it is ok to have fun hobbies while we are here. Of course family responsibilities come first and we should take a healthy pride in that and it should bring us joy.

Third, keep it simple or as detailed as you want. For some, they are very creative and artistic. Some, are good at cooking and working with kids. Do not envy someone else's abilities and talents. Try things out. Learn new skills. Figure out what you like and don't like.

Fourth, I would say, maintain a budget. Some, have little to spend on hobbies and that is perfectly fine. I don't spend a lot and I can still have some fun. Plus, you don't want to make any hobby an idol.

Also, I am a doll collector. I like to take the neglected that I find at thrift stores and bring them home. I have actually put off some of my projects because I want to share them. Maybe now, I will get some of these dollies cleaned up!
